It was a great day in Norfolk for Championship strugglers Hull City on Saturday as they wiped the floor with Norwich City at Carrow Road, with two late goals from Robert Koren and Tom Cairney wrapping up all three points for the Tigers.
City ended their run of 30 away games without a victory in stunning fashion, and even had a perfectly good Jay Simpson goal ruled out for offside - that would have made it 3-0! Jesus Christ, imagine that!
Of course, living in Thailand, I know very little else about what happened in the game, save for the scanty details I have managed to glean from the BBC, but you can bet your life I was rocking when I saw the scoreline of this one.
I almost passed out!
Starting the match on 8 points, and in 19th place, City needed to get something from the game to prevent them sliding even deeper into the mire, and so it was, condemning the unfortunate Canaries - what a stupid nickname! - to their second defeat in three games. The Tigers, meanwhile, have now kept a clean sheet in their last three games, whilst picking up seven points out of nine - promotion form!
At Carrow Road, it finished Norwich City 0 Hull City 2.
