Following the success of South Africa in hosting the 2010 world cup, authorities in Nigeria are stepping up effort to host the next World Cup in 2014.

A statement from the Nigerian Football Federation NFF says:

"We have seen what South Africa have done and as giant of Africa, we are not only capable of doing what they did, but surpassing them. We have the infrastructures, the administrators, and of course the ambassadors like Yakubu Ayegbeni. All we need is massive importation of vuvuzela from South Africa, and the backing of our former colonial master England".

Football fans in Brazil will be confuse about this news and be wondering if these Nigerians are from another planet. They will be asking themselves, are we not hosting the world cup in 2014?

This development follows FIFA's comment in south Africa that the world cup here in south Africa is the most successful world cup ever organise, so henceforth all world cup will take place on African soil excluding Nigeria who fail to obey Fifa's rules.
