image for Mark Low Ton for John Lowe

One of the greatest Legends of Darts, and three times World Darts Champion, was John Lowe, who in his prime was such a good darts player that there used to be a saying when he threw his three darts, "Mark Low Ton" because he used to score regular tons or 100s with his three darts.

The score keeper in some matches was marking a hundred on the board sometimes before John's, three darts had even hit the board.

John Lowe would have won a lot more World Darts Championship's, had it not been for the fact that he was in the same era as five times World Darts Champion, Eric Bristow.

Lowe was beaten in many finals by Bristow, and often used to say Ah Bristow!

Make SPECTRUM's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
