image for Rafa Benitez to sign an injured David Beckham
Beckham will cost Liverpool FC dearly!

THIS IS ANFIELD: The 'Rafalution' is back on steam, with another proposed Rafa decision that will leave the mighty 'Kop' quizzing his mental state. This reporter has learnt that following the signing of other Liverpool 'favourites', most of whom had dodgy health checks, the Rafalution is still on course with signing of David Beckham.

This reporter was told that with Rafa Benitez likely to earn £16 million if he gets the sack, the only way he can do it very quickly is to sign an injured David Beckham.

David Beckham will add shirt sales to Liverpool and will hopefully recoup the money that the two American owners will have to 'fork out' for Rafa Benitez's sacking and the purchase of David Beckham.

Hopefully there will be so much money left, the shirt sales of Beckhamania, will mean that the new stadium can be built too.

Now with Albert Riera being suspended by Liverpool and told not to return to training until Monday after the Spanish winger launched an attack on the 'Rafalution', describing Benítez as uncommunicative with Liverpool's players and then going on to claim that the brand of football employed by the Spaniard would make him an unsuitable replacement for Manuel Pellegrini, who is under pressure as coach of Real Madrid, was just too much

Benítez obviously doesn't want the David Beckham signing to be sullied by Albert Riera's outbursts.

Further news to follow as the situation develops.
