Sydney - Down under you might think that Tiger Woods reputation might actually be seen as a macho achievement, but not in the eyes of Roger Federer.
Tiger's tennis pal apparently snubbed the Tiger after he finished his semi-final with Tsongas. He actually jumped into the stands on the opposite side of the stadium from where Tiger sat and exited with a throng of fans in tow begging for autographs. A disappointed Tiger Woods was left with his jaw hanging and his autograph book at his side.
"It was sad to watch," said Maria Sharapova, a regular at Federer's matches and rumored to be a frequent guest for skinny dipping at Federer's Yonkers, NY, condo. "Tiger just looked as if he lost his best friend."
Rafael Nadal and Leyton Hewitt were on a practice court together and did not see the incident, but Leyton offered this advice for the Tiger,"Git a life mate, Roger is married with kids now and he knows how to change diapers!"
Roger Federer himself could not be reached for comment, but he did release the following statement, "I honestly didn't see Tiger, but even if I had, I cannot comment because of our contract with Gillette. My only advice is for him to give up texting."
