Disgraced former Wigan striker, Marlon King's agent has hinted that upon his client's release from a custodial sentence, a well known coach is eager to gain his signature.
Marlon King was jailed last month for punching 20 year old student Emily Carr in the face, breaking her nose and leaving her covered in blood after she objected to having her arse groped at The Revue Club, in London's seedy Soho district.
Miss Carr has since stated that King should receive a life ban from football, but the PFA have stated that they will support the convict.
We asked King's agent:
"What club in their right mind would want to take on a convicted woman-beater with previous form?"
"There's always hope," the agent told us. "There's one Premier League club out there that employed an alcoholic Irish football genius, a Frenchman who served a Community Service Order, who is currently described as a mercurial legend, since his premature departure, and actually had a hard drinking North Easterner as club captain for many years. Not to mention a world class centre-back who was too pissed to train, but regularly starred in games. They might be interested..."
We rang Sir Alex Ferguson, who said:
"Marlon King eh? Bloody hell!"
More as we get it.
