Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor could be hit with two FA charges tonight after a hearing watched video evidence of two incidents from last Saturday's game against Arsenal which City won 4-2.
Adebayor's goal celebration, in front of Gunners fans, and a stamp on Robin van Persie, left him at the mercy of football's ruling body, and they have come down hard on the Togo international.
The goal celebration has been seen as Improper Conduct, and could attract the extraordinary sanction of a charge from a Spanish bull.
That would be bad enough, but there's more.
The far more serious stamp on the Dutchman's head has been seen as Violent Conduct, and may result in a much stiffer punishment: if the Public Vote goes against him, he will receive an electrical charge of 20,000 volts, to be delivered via the scalp, as carried out on that French bloke with a pet mouse in The Green Mile, starring Tom Hanks.
Football fans and concerned citizens who are worried about the state of football, and the way gentlemanly conduct has gradually disappeared from our national game over the 'last few years', have been invited to register their vote on how Adebayor should be dealt with.
