AON name on Man United shirts from 2010

Manchester United have agreed an £80 Million 4-year deal for shirt sponsorship with the Astra Owner's Network, a UK-wide car enthusiast's club. The club is thrilled to have beaten prestigious companies from the worlds of finance and communications to the deal, and is excited about having their logo on the United shirts from 2010.

A spokesman from the Astra Owner's Network told us "It's brilliant news. With Vauxhall's future in such a pickle at the moment, it's great that the world's most famous football club has agreed to carry our name on their shirts."

This is the first time a car enthusiast's club has secured such an advertising coup, and many are asking where the money will come from. After all, the club may have quite a lot of members and several sponsors, but raising £80M could prove difficult.

However, the spokesman said that they didn't foresee any problems. "Some American insurance company has said they'll pick up the tab for us," he said.
