Osvaldo 'Ossie' Ardiles, the former Argentina star and boss of both Newcastle United and Tottingham Hotspur, is being linked to a return to management in Britain tonight, and has confirmed he is 'inherested' in the manager's position at Inverness Caledonian Thistle or, as Ossie puts it, 'Inberness'.
Ardiles played a pivotal role in the Argentina World Cup-winning team of 1978, and went on to be a successful player at Tottingham Hosspur before turning his hand to management at both Swindone and Wessbrom.
He has also managed teams in Mexico, Japan, Croatia, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Israel, Paraguay and anywhere else that would have him.
Now though, he has his sights firmly set on Scohland, and sees the Inberness job, and the challenge to say the team's name correctly, as one he would love to take up.
Asked by the BBC if he would be interested in the job, Ardiles replied:
"Si, ob course. I don't know about Inberness but it's bery cold. What more do I need to know?"
