The Ferrari crashed by Manchester United's Portuguese whinger, Cristiano Ronaldo, was impounded by Greater Manchester Police this morning, after it emerged that the vehicle may have been possessed by the ghost of Princess Diana.
Ronaldo ploughed the £200,000 car into a barrier in a tunnel at Manchester Airport last Thursday, but after police had questioned the player for more than 10 minutes, a psychic expert was contacted, and the vehicle was made the subject of a paranormal investigation.
Lady Diana was a Chelsea fan, and was seen several times down at Stamford Bridge along with her sons, William and Harry. One theory is that the late Princess may have been 'nobbling' Ronaldo from beyond the grave in an attempt to undermine his performance in today's match between the two teams, and to bolster Chelsea's faltering title challenge.
It's thought the dead princess's ghost travelled up to Manchester last week, and may now be haunting the boot of the Ferrari.
Ronaldo, who is a great believer in the spirit world, asked for the car to be exorcised before he took to the pitch for this afternoon's game, which United won 3-0.
