Sir Charles Barkley, former NBA great who was once known at "the Round Mound of Rebound," was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alchohol (drunk driving). The player turned commentator refused to take a breathalizer test and requested instead a blood alchohol test.
When asked the next morning why he had been driving while intoxicated, Barkley said that "you know, man, I been saying for years that you ain't supposed to make me a role model for your kids. Just because I can dunk a basketball and make short, white folks look like they standin' still don't mean I'm a good role model for kids. This is just another example of that."
When asked to name people that were good role models for kids, Barkley said, "you know, it's people like Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, that Miley Montana girl, the Olsen twins, Heath Ledger, you know, them Hollywood types. They're better than us pro athletes with our drugs and whoring and drinking and partying all the time."
