Who's turn is it for Captain?

After the worst spell in Arsenals history, Arsene Wenger has finally called it a day.

In a statement today Wenger said, 'The last 23hrs and 59 minutes have been very difficult - in fact I'll call it a day - the last day has been very difficult.

'It's been said that I did 'lose the dressing room' but I believe that it's still under the stand somewhere'.

Captain Slog

Meanwhile the search for the new Arsenal captain continues, with Perry Groves throwing his hat in the ring along with John Jensen.

Unconfirmed reports link political commentator and erstwhile dancer John Seargeant with the Arsenal post.

A spokesman for the Arsenal fan club said 'Sarge definitely gets my vote, although it won't count for much at the end of the day'.
