image for Fighting Irish Helmet Inspires Nancy Grace's Hairstyle

The truth surrounding the inspiration for Nancy Grace's long standing hairstyle was revealed this past week during an off-camera interview with "B-List Celebrity Magazine". Resembling a near perfect sphere of bleached blonde hair that encircles the outlines of her face, Grace's style was apparently patterned after the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football helmet. "I like the simple shape and timeless design, and it makes me look cute too, don't you think?" Grace said.

Grace's personal designer Gloria Hole responded, "Well , I wouldn't call it an exact replica of course, there is no facemask or chin strap to worry about, but with the right amount of hairspray, it does a great job of protecting her head. She doesn't even need an umbrella in the rain."

Unremarkable in terms of features, logos, or stickers, the Fighting Irish's simple golden helmet represents a long standing tradition at the Indiana based University. "Our helmets do their job protecting the head and face, but I wouldn't say it should be a hairstyle", current Coach Charlie Weis said. "It looks ridiculous on the woman, seriously".

Hole went on to say, "Nancy's TVQ rating is quite high, for a seldom watched cable, pseudo-journalism based talk show. We attribute much of that to her look, which in very large part is dominated by her football helmet hair. We expect the style to be all the rage in 2009." Weis was contacted for any follow up response and stole a line from the late Ted Knight in the movie "Caddyshack", "I bet with a hair cut like that you get a free bowl of soup with it." Indeed.
