image for Thierry Henry To Sign For Man City In January
An empty Nou Camp today

Thierry Henry, the unsettled French footballer currently plying his trade in Spain at Barcelona, is in line for a January transfer to Manchester City.

Henry, who previously played in England for Arsenal, has become disillusioned with life at the Nou Camp, and is eager to return to the English game, despite claims to the contrary.

City, with their rich Arab owners, and seemingly limitless available funds, would be the perfect place for the Frenchman, who, perhaps there alone, would be encouraged to flaunt his wonderful, free-flowing, silky skills.

The move is even more likely now that Henry's former mate, Robinho, has signed for City, and has made such a promising start. The Brazilian has been in regular contact with more than one Barca player since his transfer to City from Real Madrid.

City manager Mark Hughes said:

"We'd love to have Thierry Henry come here. Or his brother Lenny."
