ITV have today once again found themselves in hot water over claims they mislead viewers. The debacle centred around last Wednesday's supposedly live Champions League Final when in fact it was recorded 8 days ago and broadcast the next week.
Steve Rider, presenter of the coverage of the final said he had no idea that it was going out a week later than usual and was certain that he was presenting live last Monday night when the show was recorded.
Alex Ferguson, whose team Man Utd were playing Chelsea in Moscow said he had not a wee inkling that the match was pre recorded. However he did admit that the re taking of John Terry's penalty was 'somewhat suspicious'.
Also after Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix already there are rumours that ITV replaced the live tv feed with that of a digitally remastered 1995 Monaco Grand Prix. One viewer complained when they saw Hamilton's name re edited as Damon Hamilton. The cooperation have yet to deny or confirm this.
