image for Tiger Toppled at Champions Run

Omaha, NE (Omaha World-Herald) - Due to more American Airlines flights being grounded for inspections, Tiger Woods got stuck in Omaha Nebraska this past weekend while en route to the Masters Tournament in Augusta Georgia. Not being one to waste time Tiger took the opportunity to practice at Omaha's nationally acclaimed 18-hole championship course - Champions Run.

Looking for a partner to play along Tiger ran across local Phenom 16-year-old Andrew Dillon. Both were playing from the Black tees and matched each other at par for the first three holes. On the tricky 4th hole Tiger attempted to power his way to the double-tiered green but landed in the troublesome up and down. In contrast Andrew layed up in the fairway for an easy iron shot to the green. Andrew took a two-shot lead following Tiger's double-bogey.

Following Andrew's brief struggle on the exceptionally long 6th hole and Tigers birdie on the 9th they were tied at 1 over par after the front nine. Andrew offered to let Tiger play from the blue tees on the back nine but, after a short glare, Tiger insisted on continuing from the black tees.

Both were tied at par going into the 18th hole. The 18th is a very challenging finishing hole due to the split fairway. Andrew's perfect shot to the lower fairway left him with a favorable second shot opportunity. Tiger, being a little more conservative this time, took the blind shot into the large rolling green. Andrew easily hit his second shot within 3-feet of the hole and birdied the par 4 hole. Tiger, obviously shaken by Andrew's superb play, 3-putted the hole which left Andrew the eventual victor over Tiger Woods by 1 stroke.

When asked about his loss later in the clubhouse Tiger said "next time I'm flying Delta".
