image for Hicks and Gillette admit discussions with Obama

Liverpool FC's American owners, George Gillette and Tom Hicks have today revealed that they had recently spoken to a seemingly unknown football manager Barack Obama about the possibility of becoming manager.

However, Obama rejected the offer claiming he has 'bigger ambitions' prompting Hicks to question 'What would that be then?'

Amazingly it didn't stop there for the ignorant pair, who infuriated Liverpool fans even more when they approached former England manager Steve McClaren about the job at Anfield. However they admitted talks broke down claiming McClaren 'couldn't manage his own contract'.

This will no doubt anger the clubs supporters and their current manager Rafael Benitez who in an extraordinary outburst said he'd 'sail across the Atlantic and rip their f****** heads off!'

Make Bill Skywalker's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)
