The winner of the International Championship Hall of Fame Dishwashing Contest has accepted an offer from government officials to train the next Olympic team. You might remember Tricky from the French Dishwashing Open where he overcame tremendous odds by washing and drying by hand nearly 400 cups, plates and saucers when his Whirlpool malfunctioned.
Tony Randall of The Odd Couple fame and Martha Stewart came in second and third. Tony had this to say, "That S.O.B. could wash my dishes any day." A recalcitrant Martha chided, "He would have gotten shivved in prison if he would have tried that on me there."
Palmolive's former head coach Oprah Winfrey was ousted without a single W in the victory column. A spokesman for Team U.S.A. said Oprah had decided to move on because she had a severe case of dish-pan hands and didn't want to break another nail. Palmolive officials were unavailable for comment.
