image for Warren Gatland launches defence of his coaching
Garland says better selection is needed to hire champions.

Lions head coach Warren Gatland is sending out the wrong message to his players, says former Lions assistant Judy Garland.

Gatland fumed with smoke to questions on his "Wonderball" tactics, and said his lads will play attack rugby.

But, the players complain they need a new coach.

After the horrifying 13-7 win against the Provincial Barbarians, Gatland cited spicy Mexican beans eaten in New Zealand as a reason behind the team's stinky performance.

Garland says she has assembled the smartest and most athletic players with the best rugby abilities from around the world after sending talent scouts to do test trails on hopeful recruits. She's waiting on Gatland to approve her players.

"We need to set up a horse racing type of betting system for rugby to triple the amount of spectators to games," says Gatland. Gatland wants to put rugby on the map and double the players earnings, with cheerleaders and mascots coming out to dance.
