image for Phil Jackson, Executive With The New York Knicks May Hire Lamar Odom
Many Lakers fans feel that ex-coach Phil Jackson turned his back on the Lakers team.

NEW YORK - Many sports fans, and especially those out on the Left Coast truly felt that the Los Angeles Lakers were going to fire Head Coach Mike D'Antoni and hire former Coach Phil Jackson.

But as Rufus Reno with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily stated that just was not in the LaLaLand cards.

And the truly amazing thing about the whole situation is that Jackson's fiancee just happens to be Jeannie Buss, one of the main owners of the Los Angeles Lakers.

So Phil The Pill as many opposing NBA coaches call him, was offered the position of President of Operations with the New York Knicks.

Jackson gladly accepted the offer and in that capacity he has been talking to several players about joining the Knicks team.

Phil recently met with Allen Iverson who promised Phil that he still has a lot of gas in the tank.

The former Lakers and Bulls coach recently spoke with Lamar Odom at halftime during the Knicks-Nets game.

Odom recently divorced from Tinsel Town's Khloe Kardashian was hired to play pro ball in Spain. But he had to leave soon after arriving due to the fact that he found out that he was allergic to Spanish Rice.

SIDENOTE: Phil Jackson flat out told Odom that he may sign him to play next season but he has to promise to stay away from alcohol, drugs, and loose women.
