SAN ANTONIO - Tim Duncan, who wears #21, has always said that he lets his playing do the talking for him.
And it was certainly evident as he tossed in 29 points to help the Spurs beat the Denver Nuggets 108-103 and improve their season record to 55-16.
The victory is number 15 in a row for Coach Gregg Popovich's good guys in silver and black.
Even the Spurs mascot, the Coyote was so happy he was doing somersaults, back flips, and even managed to twerk one of the Spurs Silver Dancer cheerleaders.
After the game Rufus Reno with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily asked Coach Pop why his team is so good.
Popovich who has been known to be a bit on the sarcastic side replied, "Oh, I don't know - I guess it's probably the fajita tacos the guys have just before each game."
He grinned and added, "They have a lot of iron, calcium, potassium, and steroids."
Manu Ginobili (#20) who hails from Argentina said that for some reason the cheerleaders cheered extra loud and that really made a big difference; especially with Tony Parker who loves flirting with the cheerleaders.
Tony Parker (#9) smiled and said that the players are not supposed to date the cheerleaders but if they could there are about 7 or 10 that he would love to take down to the River Walk.
And perhaps the quietest player in the entire NBA, Kawhi Leonard (#2) was asked how he felt. Leonard smiled, paused for a few moments, and then softly asked, "About what?"
