SAN ANTONIO - Coach Gregg Popovich's San Antonio Spurs have just increased their record to a very impressive 12-1 as they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers by 30 points 126-96.
The Spurs played all 13 of their players and for a moment it appeared that Coach Pop was thinking about inserting one of his assistant coaches into the game.
Tim Duncan called the Spurs play fabulous. Manu Ginobili said it was muy bueno, and Tony Parker remarked that he needed a croissant and a glass of French wine.
After the game the entire team went over to Tim's house where they dined on an assortment of Mexican cuisine that was provided by a local Tacos, Tacos, and Mucho More Tacos Restaurant.
At one point when the Spurs led by 30, one of the referees asked Coach Popovich if maybe he could have two or three of his players remove their shoes so that the game would not get blow out any worse.
Popovich replied that he had already sat down his starters, his second team, and was playing his third string players.
He said that the only other thing he could do would be to suit up five of the Spurs cheerleaders.
