BOSTON - Rajon Rondo had surgery to repair a torn ACL the day after Valentine's Day and reports are that he is still not ready to play and will miss the NBA preseason.
Rufus Reno with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily spoke with the Celtics point guard at a local IHIPHOP Soul Food Restaurant.
Rondo was asked how he feels. He put down his fork and said that he is just lucky that he's not a horse.
Reno laughed and told him that he hardly recognizes the Leprechaun team anymore since so many of the star players have left Dodge in a huff.
Rajon smiled and said that he is still trying to learn the names of some of the new Celtics players.
Reno asked him if he is ready to be the team leader. Rondo rolled his eyes and replied that he is ready but that there isn't much of a team left to lead.
SIDENOTE: Rajon Rondo revealed to Reno that he thought about asking to be traded since now he is really going to have to give it 110 percent due to the fact that his backup boys Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen have all left for greener pastures.
