DALLAS - The owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones was in Cowboy Paradise as he saw his team defeat the New York Giants 36-31 led by quarterback Tony Romo's two touchdown passes.
Jerry and his two sons sat up in his private luxury suite eating hot dogs, cotton candy, peanuts, nachos, and brisket tacos, while washing it all down with bottles of Dr. Pepper, the soft drink that was born in Waco.
Jones was especially pleased as he had won $2,000 on the game from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie who had bet on the Giants.
The Cowboys owner made it clear to Hercules Confetti with Sporting Chance Magazine that he normally does not bet on sports games but Governor Christie insisted.
San Antonio country music legend George Strait performed at halftime for the more than 90,000 fans.
He sang 7 of his 60 number one hit songs including Mrs. Tony Romo's favorite song "Amarillo By Morning" and Governor Christie's favorite song, "This Is Where The Cowboy Rides Away."
SIDENOTE: Late night talk show host Jay Leno, the nation's first lady Michelle Obama, and country singer Carrie Underwood have predicted that this is the year that the Dallas Cowboys will go to the Super Bowl.
