MIAMI - Former Major League Baseball player José Canseco has reportedly called up suspended New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez.
Canseco who was found to have used steroids during his playing days decided to call up A-Rod and invite him to join his regular Friday Night Cards Game.
He told Alex that since he won't be playing baseball until 2015, he knows that he will need something to keep him busy.
Canseco, who was born in Havana, Cuba, invited him to join him and former pro players Sammy Sosa and Barry Bonds for a night of cards, beer, talking about chicks, and war stories.
José noted that his former teammate Mark McGwire, who also took steroids, along with him, Sammy, and Barry said that (Mark) thinks that he's too good to get together with them.
Canseco laughed as he said that he heard that McGwire says that he wants to forget all about the past and all of the horrible things that he saw other players do with steroids.
SIDENOTE: Alex told José that he would like to take up his offer but he has been asked to be the Friday and Saturday night sportscaster on a local television station in Hoboken, New Jersey.
