US That's Rich! List estimates A-Rod's wealth at $200 million

Lake Austin, Texas - "Andy just has too many balls up in the air right now," a PR for the Andy Roddick Foundation revealed, "to sweat it out in a cramped commentators' box for two whole weeks alongside shock-jocks Boris Becker, John McEnroe and Tim Henman.

"Besides, his FOX Sports 1 team anchorman contract bars moonlighting on foreign assignments unless related to PR for his wife Brooklyn's swimwear business."

The recently retired US grand slam champ's tight schedule means he's turned down the Beeb's top commentary slot that would have netted him a reported cool million bucks for a fortnight's work.

US sports wealth analysts reckon the 2003 US Open winner is now worth a staggering $200 million following a 13 year career that saw him become the youngest American aged 21 to win the Flushing Meadows grand slam.

"Sure, it looks a little picky on the surface," an International Guild of Sports Commentators source explained.

"But at least A-Rod won't have that Brit man-eater TV anchor Sue Whatshername chasing him all over the players' recreation quarters, heheh, one black eye from Brooklyn in 2011 was enough for Andy despite the manifest misunderstanding of what actually happened."

Bjorn Borg is 69.
