NEW YORK CITY - Veteran Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez will be competing with four other players for the starting quarterback position.
It was five until Tim Tebow was released due to the fact that the Jets organization could no longer handle the extracurricular circus atmosphere that Tebow brought with his legion of devoted fans.
Sanchez on the other hand does not have a dedicated entourage like Tebow does so there is really no excuse for him to be mixed up or confused as to the proceedings on the gridiron.
Mark has just about gotten over the fact that many Jets fans including at least seven players felt that he was distracted last year when he was dating the gorgeously hot Hollywood starlet Eva Longoria.
Competing this season with Sanchez for the QB spot will be Greg McElroy, Geno Smith, David Garrard, and Matt Simms.
Sanchez does not try and hide the fact that being a veteran quarterback he does not like the idea that he basically has to pass an audition to end up with his old job.
He did reveal to a fellow teammate that he is getting too old to be playing the who gets the starting QB nod game and he commented in no uncertain terms that he better be the Jets starting quarterback or else.
When asked by Sports Territory Magazine writer Tango Brisket what or else means, Mark took a sip of his Avocado Gatorade and replied that or else means exactly what it implies, or else.
