image for Sunny Times win 2-1 but Ref in Trouble
Sunny Times Goalie at fault

Premier League leaders Sunny Times won a crucial match against non-leaguers the Dowler Mcanns in a controversial FA Cup 3rd round tie yesterday.

Referee, Jude Leverson, was criticised by many in the crowd for turning a blind eye at both the Sunny Times goals from Jemmy Hunt and Rupee Murdoch, when both were clearly off side.

The gallant underdogs smashed a great goal in the first half for a penalty when goalkeeper Benny Brooks brought down attacker Hugh Grant in the penalty area. Nick Davies scored dramatically from the penalty spot sending the goalie the wrong way.

In the final minute it looked as if the Dowler Mcanns had scored an equaliser but linesman Dave Camerbund saw an incident in the penalty area which the ref had to disallow.

Daily Male editor A. Morsi said after the match that the refhad failed to see that Premier League clubs could not be stopped from troucing non-leaguers. 'If we are not free to obliterate the opposition then it is not a fair game' he announced.
