QPR have placed £9million Michael Dawson on the transfer list - despite the defender yet to agree personal terms on a move to QPR.
Dawson is currently negotiating a four-year deal to sign for QPR, but will be forced to accept a sell-on clause for £500,000 when he finally puts pen to paper. It is believed QPR will be looking to sell Dawson in the next transfer window to raise funds to sign Manchester City's Vincent Company for £25million.
Future QPR boss Harry Redknapp - who will take over the reigns at Loftus Road next month after Mark Hughes is axed after predictions of zero points from the opening six games materialise, told The Spoof this morning that he hopes Dawson will nonetheless be a great signing for the club.
Speaking through his car window, Redknapp said, "The lifespan of a QPR player barely lasts a season. I've been told by Tony Fernandes that he wants a complete new team every transfer window. He likes to keeps things fresh and I completely agree.
"Dawson will help steady the ship until January, then we must move on. Vincent Company will be a super player for the R's, though he knows he'll need to look for a new club next summer to fund a move for the next chap."
Redknapp though is unsure if he'll be around long enough to fulfil QPR's aim of winning silverware in the not-too-distant future. "Jose Mourinho is a favourite of the Chairman's. I believe the club have already agreed with him in principal to take over next summer from me, that's football. Terrific."
