Teammates of Peyton Manning have leaked the new quarterback's plans to create a celebratory and unique "move", much different from Tebowing, after scoring each touchdown.
"Peyton is a bit older than many of the guys and remembers the early days of the hand slaps and fist bumps", says Denver Broncos Assistant Trainer, Butch Padorsik. Referring Peyton's apparent love of old comedy television shows like "Laugh In" and the "Flip Wilson Show", Padorsik believes Manning is working on something unique to wash away the bitter-sweet memory of the Tebow move in Denver.
"You've got to start fresh, give the fans something to celebrate, do something unique", says Padorsik. "And I think Peyton has found it".
Though most Bronco practice sessions are indoors and closed to the press, one photographer was able to sneak in and witness the team helping Manning practice the new move. "It was two crossing hand slaps followed by two crossing elbow bumps and ending with two side to side butt bumps", says the 59 year old Denver News photographer, Mel Otto. "It definitely looks like a tribute to Flip Wilson there, not all that original, but it was pretty cool".
Fan reaction will have to wait until the first pre season game, and the first Peyton Manning touchdown. "They will love it", says Padorsik. The fans were a little sick of the Tebow move anyway".
