image for Bolton To Do A Blackburn On Man United Says Funnyman Peter Kay
Eight Nil To Bolton, Says Kay.

Anything Blackburn can do, Bolton can do better, at least according to roly-poly Bolton funnyman Peter Kay - who reckons that not only will Bolton beat Man United at Old Trafford, but that they'll win by a wider margin than Rovers 3-2

Kay, who by his own admission isn't really much of a football fan, is convinced that the Lily Whites will deliver the goods.

"Garlic bread!" Kay announced.

Which when translated means that Bolton will probably start the game with a 4-5-1 formation, packing the midfield, keeping ten men behind the ball most of the time, and relying on a lone striker, hoping to hit United on the break.

"It's spitting!" he also announced.

Which when translated, means that Bolton won't be fazed by the incessant Manchester rainfall, as it apparently rains just as much in Bolton.

"We're not messin' about!" he added.

Meaning that Bolton are expected to turn up at Old Trafford in time for the kick off, after having asked a taxi driver if he'd been busy, and what time he was 'on' till.

Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson played down Kay's claims by saying:

"Och, he's a comedian by profession. What d'ye expect frae the boy?"

More as we get it.
