Craven Cottage Live - More about Arsene Wenger later, but for now, suffice to say he stomped towards the dressing rooms at Craven Cottage here tonight in what can only be decribed as a blind fury, as his ten man Arsenal team surrendered a hard won early lead only to go down 2-1 to Fulham.
Trailing 1-0 at the interval, Fulham battled back into a game which could have easily eluded them. The critical decision came with the sending off of Djourou for a second yellow card, followed by goals from Steve Sidwell and Bobby Zamora, which decided the contest.
In his post match interview, a clearly irate Arsene Wenger obviously struggled to restrain himself, saying by way of a change that the game he saw didn't appear to be the game that anyone else saw.
An Arsenal insider said that reports of Wenger going for corrective laser eye surgery were somewhat premature, although the Gunners boss has apparently been ordered to increase his sugar intake, in order to stop him from looking like he's been sucking on an extremely bitter lemon for the last three hours.
The Fulham fans were jubilant, and relieved that they wouldn't have to sing the Row Z song in praise of Zamora.
"Back of the net! Yessss!" one jubilant Fulham fan enthused as he left the ground.
Arsenal fans were in more subdued mood, and probably won't have a great deal to say on The Sun website's comments section, until such time as they actually win a match. Which may somehow justify their claims to be the best thing that ever happened to football.
Even though the poor deluded zeroes are the only ones who believe a word of it.
More as we get it.
