TEXAS - Baseball history has always recorded the tales of great baseball performances but among the greatest are the men who dominate in the most important series of games, the World Series.

When the New York Yankees, and maybe the Philadelphia Phillies just this year, lost early in first round of the postseason, fans left baseball behind them. But because they were the last best teams in baseball, even baseball playoff fans walked away.

Well, we were wrong. We were mistaken. St. Louis Cardinal Albert Pujols has arguably had the best World Series performance in the history of championship games. We are talking about a column of statistics that makes ESPN's Dick Vitale, at the end of the night, say, "I'm living the American dream, baby!!"

Albert Pujols single-handedly won the game for the Cardinals with the following performance: 6 homeruns, 10 RBI's, 5 walks, 3 stolen bases, 2 hit by pitches, and struck one batter out. These statistics were so good that Cooperstown representatives face-timed each other at midnight to discuss whether Albert Pujols was ready to enter into the Hall Fame Monday morning.

Some fans and the Philadelphia Phillies think Puljos is 'juicing it up.' They usually refer to the last time a homerun race was exciting in baseball. It's almost Mark McGwire ago. Unfortunately, no one from the St. Louis Cardinals bench or management or ball boy could comment on the record breaking day nor the sore losers who criticizes because they have nothing else to do.

While we wait for the verdict, let's all turn away from our wicked thoughts and finish watching the rest of the baseball season. Because when we watch Albert Pujols, we are watching an active Hall of Famer. Very Cool.

Make Alvin Taveras's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
