MIAMI - "One day Jordan will wear my baseball jersey and envy how much better I was at it," begins Lebron James at a press conference he hosted out of boredom.
Most reporters did not have a clue why Lebron James called them to come downtown Miami, but they hoped he was either being traded back to his former team or he was going to the NFL to play football.
Long and behold, Lebron James will now play baseball for any team that wants to recruit him. James' personal trainer, Mark McGwire has had him in the gym working out, hitting pitches, and drinking lots of juice.
Some wondered how come he looks so lean and his forearms like Popeye's but sportswriters had been too distracted with American football.
It's too early to tell if Lebron James is doing this as a way to jump start his second half basketball career and return wearing the number forty-five to win three plus championships or if Lebron is taking advantage of the NBA lockout and happens to really like baseball.
And perhaps Lebron James is really not that good of a basketball player and sports analysts are forcing him to be something he's not for someone else's profit sake. As a high school graduate no one would convince me not to believe my hype.
In related news, Jim Gray and Lebron James are no longer friends.
