A group of Scientists at Wrexham Polytechnic have invented a gadget which they think could change the world we live in.
Group spokesperson Ivor Tiddler agreed to talk to a packed Press Room this lunchtime.
'This is about as good as it gets,' said Ivor. 'We feel exactly the same way Bill Gates felt when he invented the Computer. What we've got is something that will be used by everyone in the Country every day.
'We wanted to find a way to warm up food quickly, rather than just adding hot water to a Pot Noodle to create a comforting snack.
'Sometimes people want more than that don't they?
'We've managed to create a metal box that generates heat at ridiculously hot temperatures, and fires molecules of heat all over whatever food is inside the box. You can put frozen food in too. It will cook pretty much anything, from a cup of tea to a full meal just by pressing a few buttons. It just knows how to do it! Incredible really. In the middle ages we'd all have been hanged as Witches, but I assure you we're not.
'I predict that, if testing goes well, there will be a gadget like this in almost every home within 5 years. It will be known as The Heating Box, which we think is a really catchy name.'
