After months of vacillation Antarctica has decided to send a delegation to the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The team is heading northward in the shape of an large iceberg.

More massive than the state of Connecticut,the berg is hoping to medal in Curling, Giant Slalom, and floating in the nearby Strait of Juan de Fuca.

It has been a dream of the continent for years to compete in a world class sporting event.Showing its prowess as "Wintry kind of place" should be a slam dunk (using a Summer Olympics term) said the giant mass at the Earth's lower pole.

Detractors have noted that at its present speed, the giant cake of ice should arrive off of British Columbia in about 2079.
