Netherlands - Just as lost socks and missing persons can be explained through the still-questionable M-Theory, scientists today have applied the same set of equations to the common house cat.
Cats, it is well known, seem to multiply at a rate proportionate but higher than they breed. Today's research shows that this is a direct result of mass cat purrs simultaneously vibrating a brane, commonly referred to as the basic substance of all creation. When just the right frequency is reached, the vibration causes a cat to slip through from a parallel dimension, seeming to appear from nowhere.
Further testing will be required, but it may even be possible that cats, due to their unique purring, are able to go and come from alternate realities at will.
M-Theory, also known as String Theory, is one of the most controversial theories that explain everything in existence. Part of this controversy is the possibility that any attempt to prove or disprove it may affect whether the results are positive or negative. Many scientists explain that flipping a coin is just as likely to be correct, and there's a lot less math involved.
