image for Rubik's cube to become school subject

The mighty Rubik's Cube is finally to become standard teaching! After spending 2 decades left out in the cold, teaching union: Matriculation On Another Nuance (MOAN) have finally gotten permission to include Rubik's Cube lessons as part of the curriculum.

The eighties icon is to be taught for an average of 2 hours per week.It had previously been suggested that the Rubik's should become part of P.E., but as Jeff Hoon of MOAN explains:

"Rubix is more about mental sport than physical. It's important to know how to climb ropes and dodge balls, and it's just as important to be able to solve nature's game-cube."

We quickly explained to Mr. Hoon that the Rubik's Cube was not natural and was the invention of Ernö Rubik.

"Oh well, whatever. We got our way, and that's what matters."

Cube lessons are set to include both theory and practise elements, with the usual written reports due at the end of every session.
