Artist impression of a galactic waste disposal unit.

Professor Hugh Jarse revealed today that the Large Halon Collider (LHC) experiment due to take place will be the answer to the current problems associated with refuse disposal.

"When the LHC is fired up it will create a black hole. This will give us an interdimensional portal to who knows where." said Professor Jarse.

"We got the idea when watching 'Stargate' the movie late one evening. Waste from around the world will be fed into the black hole never to be seen again. We don't know where it will end up and frankly we don't care."

Tofu Quorn Hemp jr of Greenpeace today said "We have no objections in the slightest and in fact it sounds like a really good idea."

If succesfull, widescale waste disposal will begin next year.
