Sociologists have made a surprizing find in the unlikely town of Tempe, Arizona. Dave Grisben considered himself a typical wedding planner. This ex navy seal and father of three was surprized to learn that most of his male work associates are gay.
"Not that it matters," said Grisben, "as my philosophy is 'live and let live', but I am a bit surprised" said the husband to a former Miss Arizona contest winner. "I guess a few signs were there, I just didn't catch them."
Grisben says that at times his co-workers would talk about their "partners" but he thought they meant business partners in an outside venture they were trying to get off the ground. "I also figured they were well connected in the Tempe area, as they mentioned their 'community' quite a lot" he explained.
Grisben said that one time another man he works with said he attended a movie with "Terry" and Grisben asked "Is that your wife?" The man laughed and replied "Well, sometimes she's the woman!" but Grisben says he just figured that she was "one of those assertive gals who like to 'wear the pants in the family' now and then."
Grisben said that the attention he's getting is a bit embarrassing, but he'll manage fine. He doesn't think it will affect his work at all. "We all get along fine at the job" he said "and besides, on pot luck days, one of those guys brings in creme brulee that is to die for!"
