Palo Alto, CA -- Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer held a Saturday news conference and showed photos of a massive 7 foot, 7 inch Bigfoot costume they claim they found while Bigfoot hunting in he Northern Georgia mountains.
"It's a genuine Bigfoot costume all right", claimed Jeff Meldrum, associate professor of anatomy and anthropology at Idaho State University. "I've only seen two or three of them this elaborate. This one even has human-like teeth. There's no mistaking this for an orangutan or gorilla costume".
Whitton and Dyer have been seeking unsuccessfully for a Bigfoot costume for 12 years.
"We've tried every seamstress on both coasts", Whitton said. "Most of them just can't get the eyes right or the teeth right or something. Now we just stumble across one in the remote mountains!".
"And this one is huge", added Dyer. "Basketball player Yao Ming could fit inside it. I can't see why someone would dump it just because they can't fit into it".
Whitton, a police officer currently on disability leave from his job as a police officer, said they had to hike nearly 20 miles with heavy backpacks through mountainous terrain to find the elusive costume.
"Don't tell anyone I am physically fit", Whitton asked the news media.
