image for TV FREESat sets you free!
£340 for HD - It's free!

In the current fragile economic climate in the UK, where every penny counts, corporations are vying to find 'must-have' gadgets to lure people to part with their hard-earned pennies. Finding it hard to make ends meet, TV broadcasters have launched 'Freesat'.

Although the service claims to be 'free' it actually costs £49 and £120 if you want the luxury of High Definition. That's just the equipment. Then to have it installed will be £80; oh… and don't forget you need to pay a TV licence at around £140. Let's see that's between £269 and £340 - hardly free, is it?

It is claimed that it will reach 98% of households. What if you're one of the unlucky 2%?

Furthermore, if you live in a listed building or one not in direct line of sight of a satellite you can't have one - life's a bitch!

Make IN SEINE's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
