image for Mars rover finds McDonalds drive-thru
Can I take your order sir?

In a shocking picture release by NASA today, Opportunity, the exploratory rover, has been spotted trundling up to McDonalds drive thru. Whilst the contents of the take-away were kept suspiciously elusive, rumours abound that the cheeky martian rover scoffed a fillet-of-fish and a strawberry milkshake.

NASA officials are said to be demanding answers from the scientists involved. Mike Billings told us:

"It's a strange find indeed. We rather suspect that someone, perhaps the European Space Agency, planted this mini-McDonalds on mars in order to lure our robot. We think the whole 'Beagle' mission was just a ruse for setting up interplanetary restaurants"

Make KendoMonkey's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
