image for Geography Students Upset Over Stereotype
Where in the world is Muncie, Indiana?

Muncie, Indiana - 'Geography' is often thought of as the study of places and their names, but this misunderstanding has led to a violent protest by a group of fifth-year graduate students at Ball State University.

"We are sick and tired of people misrepresenting the study of Geography as just memorizing a whole bunch of colored areas on a map," said protest leader Charlie Hammond. "People are always asking me how to get from Point A to Point B, rather than just looking it up on the internet or using a regular road atlas."

The students have vowed to continue their bloody campaign of civil unrest until more attention is given to their cause.

So to be more exact, the study of Geography is divided into two main branches: Human Geography and Physical Geography.
