image for China Sends An Aardvark Into Space: PETA Does Not Complain
Aaron the Aardvark was launched into outer space aboard The Yao Ming #1 rocket ship.

NORFOLK, Virginia - Word coming out of the Republic of China is that their space program has just launched a spacecraft into the atmosphere.

The Rick Shaw News Agency has stated that the spaceship Yao Ming #1 was sent into outer space with an aardvark on board.

Ming Yang Wong with Rick Shaw said that the aardvark, named Aaron, will be able to follow simple maneuver instructions which will be conveyed to him via the on board computer module.

Mr. Yang Wong stated that the Chinese Space Agency did receive some inquiries from the PETA organization (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

But he added that amazingly enough PETA did not protest the fact that China had sent an aardvark into space.

An inside source at PETA did comment that had the animal been a dog, a cat, or even a hamster, PETA would have been hollering left and right.

SIDENOTE: China did remark that once Aaron the Aardvark returns to Earth he will be hailed as a Chinese hero and he will live the life of luxury accompanied by three very pretty female aardvarks.

Make Abel Rodriguez's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
