HONG KONG - China's Rick Shaw National News Agency is reporting that the Moon land rover Yutu, (Jade Rabbit) has met with an unfortunate accident.
Rick Shaw stated that on Monday at approximately 2:13 a.m. (Las Vegas time) Yutu reported that it had lost control and hit something that appeared to be a tree.
The Chinese Space Agency told Yutu's on-board computer that it was impossible since there are no trees on the moon.
Yutu responded by saying, "Hey, listen closely y'all, if it looks like a dadburn tree, smells like a dadburn tree, and has bird's nests in it like a dadburn tree, then it's a damn dadburn tree, okey dokey?"
As you can see Yutu's computer program was designed by an American firm out of Dallas, Texas.
Members of the Chinese Space Agency are baffled and would like to see photographs but Yutu is not sending any.
A high-ranking member of the CSA stated that it appears that Yutu's feelings have been hurt and there is now concern that the Moon land rover will clam up and refuse to send anymore information.
SIDENOTE: The Chinese Space Agency has asked NASA for some help in this matter and NASA has agreed to do whatever they can to convince Yutu to cooperate.
