Gates is #2 on the Richest Persons In The World List behind Mexico's Carlos Slim.

HOUSTON - Bill Gates is one of the richest men in the world with a net worth estimated to be around $67 billion.

He recently talked to a NASA official and said that he has always dreamed of being the first person to set foot on the planet Mars.

Gates said that as a little kid in elementary school he would pretend that he was an astronaut and he would travel to Mars.

The multi-billionaire told NASA that he would be willing to pay them $50 million if they allow him to fulfill his childhood dream.

NASA Spokesperson Trent Timmelfarb contacted Mr. Gates and told him that a group of NASA executives will be meeting and they will see what they can work out.

In Other News. Friday, December 20, is National Burrito Day, except in Arizona where burritos were banned two years ago.
