HOUSTON - NASA has just received word that the Republic of China has turned down their loan request.
China's Foreign Minister Kong Hong Liebowitz gave NASA Spokesperson Trent Timmelfarb the bad news.
Mr. Liebowitz stated that China regretted having to turn down the $9 billion loan request but he pointed out that there are several Chinese projects scheduled for 2014, that will not allow for the loan.
The foreign minister stated that China is planning on spending over $3 billion to make renovations to the world famous Great Wall of China.
He noted that the weather along with graffiti have taken quite a toll on the Old Gal, as the wall is known.
Liebowitz also pointed out that China will be implementing a new Togas For Tots program that will provide togas for all Chinese school children between the ages of 6 and 12.
He explained that the Togas For Tots program will probably run around $2 billion.
Meanwhile NASA Spokesperson Trent Timmelfarb stated that NASA will try and raise some funds with bake sales, a moon rock raffle, and possibly a celebrity wrestling match between Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan.
