image for On the farm with George Sheep with Memory Problems

The animals were assembled in front of the huge letters spelling out the deal between the farmers and the animals - but something seemed to be wrong.

The animals were sure the first agreement was: The National Health Service is Safe in our Hands.

But it was clearly written: The National Health Service is NOT safe in our hands. Several sheep thought hey remembered the great woman farmer Margaret Thatcher announce these words to a blare of trumpets.

When when one timidly queried the announcement as seeming to be different now - several goats shouted 'You should have gone to Specsavers!'

Then there was the next fine saying: WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER. BUT OLD HORSE Dobbin was surprised to see: WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER MORE OR LESS. When he tried to recall the ancient promise he couldn't remember those last three words. When he asked about this the Rats shouted DONKEY! DONKEY!

Next was the biggest statement of all: YOU VOTED US IN TO POWER. No one could disagree with that but somehow there appeared new words FOR EVER.

Unhappy animals crowded aroung trying to organise a riot but before long the Dogs had bitten into the angry mob.

CRIMINALS! CRIMINALS! Farmer George got out his taser and gave a few animals a sharp Laser injection. The Tasers had also been transformed.

'By George, you done it now' cried the multitude as they went back to their jobs, happy to be guided but such wise farmers.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
