There is the old adage about a policeman's whistle. The sound of it either brings you comfort or fear.

If you are comfortable in the first place it is reassuring to know that you are being protected from the revolutionary hordes - but if you are of a category that immediately causes the police to be suspicious you fear the sound of a police whistle.

Now the Tories know which side of the fence they are on and Labour want to be there as well because association with the rabble is uncomfortable.

The Tories are short of money, really due to the Bank's foolisness and greed but cleverly blamed on Gordon Brown who is cast aside as even worse than the French!

Yet the fact remains there is a lack of cash for law 'n order. Prisons are very expensive, putting the well known charity Eton to shame. This strange reversal of fortunes, with the rabble having more spent on their needs than the privileged has to be curtailed and poor old Clarke is there to fix this and keep everyone happy. He becomes another useful scapegoat in the process. The Police are also expensive and who better than a woman to deal with that area?

Old fashioned Tories are shocked by the spectacle. The plans for private health care are coming unstuck, the Police are up in arms and are not dealing too well with those up in arms! Labour, meanwhile are real cheats by posing as the Party of Law 'n Order.

The joke is that if Labour were in Power there would be a reversal of roles and then the Tories could be the Party of Law 'n Order again!

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
